USA Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship Program 2020

USA Sponsored Program: The Fulbright Program is one of the United States Cultural Exchange Programs, and the aim is to improve  cultural diplomacy,intercultural relations, and intercultural competence between the people of the United States and other countries.

This is done through the exchange of knowledge, persons,  and skills. It is among the most prestigious and competitive fellowship programs in the world. And through the program, competitively-selected American and Non-American citizens including students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists may receive scholarships or grants to study, conduct research, teach, or exercise their talents abroad; and citizens of other countries may qualify to do the same by coming to the United States of America withe help of this program.

 

 

Sponsors

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State receives funding from the United States Congress via annual appropriation bills, which is use to run this program. Additional support comes from partner governments, foundations, corporations, and host institutions both in and outside the U.S.

 

 

Criteria

Candidates for this program must;

1. have high academic achievement
2. have a compelling project proposal or statement of purpose
3. demonstrated leadership potential, and flexibility and adaptability to interact successfully with the host community abroad.

 

 

Fields

Fulbright program cover the following fields fine arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, natural and physical sciences, and professional and applied sciences, except clinical medical research involving patient contact.
